Character Casting

After contacting the possible actors for our film, we have screen-shotted the evidence of them wanting to be in our film below:

Two of the possible actors for one role have agreed to take part. In order to choose the best actor we have asked them both to attend filming to determine who is best to act in the film opening.

In terms of the female role in our opening scene, Taylor Olive has approved of this role and is excited to star in our film. Therefore, the actors for our film have been confirmed and we will be beginning to film shortly.

Process of Film Making

Within the last couple of media lessons, my partner and I have created a storyboard stating the shots we plan to use in our opening with drawings, time on screen, action and music accompanied. This will help us when creating our final film opening as we will gather an understanding of how our shots will fit together by already noting the titles and transitions we plan to use.

We have used Final Cut Express to produce a digital storyboard in order to portray a still film using images from our drawings. Below are a few of the images which we attached to our storyboard in order to produce a template for our film.

Location Choices

In order to make the film opening as professional and believable as possible, realistic locations will have to be chosen.

This means the young teenagers room will have to be filmed within a young teens room possibly filled with stereotypical aspects such as pinks and whites. To be able to achieve this, we can film it within my partner's house which contains both a shed where we can film the opposing protagonists parts and also a teen girls bedroom.
If this is not a successful location, we can use our friends' shed which matches the location of what we imagine the online predators to be like. This will ensure that the best location is used to convey a realistic and believable film opening.

The location where we will film for the teen girls bedroom will be inside this building. It is the following:

Character Casting Ideas

Above are the characters we need to cast for our film opening. In order to achieve a successful film opening, choosing an actor for a particular character correctly is vital. I have listed the suggestions for each character in order to give me a choice in cast therefore giving me back up in case one of the chosen suggestions is unable to act or make the filming time.
After deciding on the names of our characters, we realised that the name "Danny Connolly" didn't appropriately fit with the theme as it portrayed too much complication. Therefore, we changed it to 'Toby Hunter' which automatically made the character seem younger helping the genre to be displayed accurately.
