In my lesson I used a simple use of layers and the use of a magic wand tool to remove the solid background of the image in order to make it look more realistic as there is no shape around the image.

Photoshop Tutorial
Within todays lesson we were taken through the basics of adobe photoshop. Since being a graphics student, I am aware of the uses of photoshop therefore I should be able to understand the basics. I am familiar with the uses of the key tools such as magic wand tool whereby aspects of solid colour within the image can be selected and adapted. I understand the importance of using layers and how they follow a 'building block' structure and can be selected and adapted individually with effects such as emboss and stroke. This will add attractive features to my design as they will be bolder and stand out more against the background used.

Well done Ciara, good work. Lots of great detail here and looks as if you're pretty much up to date with your digipak work. TARGET: Sketches and original images needed for your digipak. Make sure you evaluate your ideas/images and suggest which ones are most striking/fitting for use on your artist's digipak.
